The etc. of course includes a couple of Siberians or other clean-
shaven iris. If one is looking for landscaping plants especially
in a new garden try Siberians - they are "regular" rhizomous irises,
too....and they are so reliable.
Staten Island sounds great for SIs - cold enough and a high water
table - they would love it....
