Florida Iris


     I took Ian's advice and checked out the site I gave.  There were
several possibilities, but since I have yet to see the plant bloom... 
Donald Mosser mentioned that the plant might be a Sysyrinchium species. 
The map lists Sysyrinchium albidum (sounds white) as being present in the
area from which the peat came.
     It might be bloom time before I can positively identify the plant, but
any input on the subject is welcome.
