Hi Everyone,

You may be right, Sharon; this is one of the irises I've been meaning to send
to Phil Edinger for about two years now. However, if it isn't Crimson King,
it's something even better that blooms all the time in my climate and is
fertile. A lot of people would call it doggy, but I have to love this deep
purple iris with a white beard that blooms all year except for about two
weeks.
About it's being an airpod, is there any way to check that now while it's
still green?

Okay Rick, I'm moving to Cathey's Valley. Your cucumber beetles must be
hanging out in Atascadero during the spring, because they always eat all my
bean flowers and I never get any beans! Or maybe I need to plant
fall-blooming beans to keep them away from the irises... They don't eat my
irises in the spring.
And Mark, thanks for the advice about sevin. Like you, I don't like to use
poison controls. I have little kids that still pick flowers and put them in
their mouths. Maybe I should dress them up as cucumber beetles next
Halloween...
