It has become a tradition for our local Iris Club to present its outgoing
President with a framed iris portrait commissioned from a local artist. Our
officers tend to be rotating, rather than outgoing, but whoever serves two
years as President deserves an extra token of appreciation for the
responsibility they assume and all the hard work they have to put in to
fulfill that role.
Another thing that we have done for the past two years, and which seems to
be quite popular, is to award one-year memberships in the AIS Section or
Affiliated Society of choice as premiums or game prizes at our annual Iris
Club Barbecue.
