Sharon McAllister and Tom Little posted a lot about this topic in the
past - I am too much of a novice to want to try to recap what they have
said. Try the archives under HYB:. Also check Punnett's (spelling?)
square. I think if you knew how many characteristics you were talking
about you could calculate the probability of capturing all of them in
each cross and that would tell you how many seeds you would need to
approach the probability of seeing all of the variations.
I guess from the volume of responses <grin> to my question about a
Punnett's square for rebloomers, we don't have enough information to do
that kind of analysis.
