I have just viewed jpg's of Christy Hensler's JI X Sib crosses and
am overcome with excitement. These crosses have produced an assortment of
forms, some favoring the JI side and others the Sib side; while others are
total departures from both as would be expected. The coloration ranges
from white to purple, and one sharp, clear medium blue is one of the
best blues I have ever seen in any type of iris.
So that others may enjoy what Christy has produced, I have
suggested that she contact Tom Little and get these added to the cork
board.
I am further excited at the prospects of growing this type hybrid
since Christy was kind enough to send a packet of seeds, which all look
like JI seed.
Thanks, Christy, for opening my eyes to your new world of iris
beauties and keep on making those widest of crosses.
