As it happens, I have such an iris growing, and blooming in my garden 
right now. 'Art Shade' is the perfect description for this murky 
olive/grey/yellow iris, with a tiny protrusion at the end of the beard. 
Its name you ask? --- THORNBIRD
I may very well uproot the whole plant and send it to Paul Tyerman!
