We're back! We finally got moved (to Owensboro KY) and everything is planted!
We heard sighs of relief when some of the plants were finally out of their
pots and
put in the ground!! We lost some iris to borers and rot. But we still had
plenty
to plant!! I found dried up borers in some of the cardboard trays and decided
that maybe being left out of the ground wasn't so bad after all!! We thought
we
had checked them very carefully when we packed them in the big boxes. But,
I guess some of the rhizomes still had tiny borers in them. By waiting so
long,
the borers dried up, instead of getting planted in the ground here. I hope we
didn't miss any others. Most are sending up little green leaves,which is a
wonderful sight!
