Dennis,
It sounds like you are doing the right thing with those Walking
Irises. What type of potting soil are you using? The "natural" soil may
be too alkaline??

You will be able to tell it apart once it blooms. The one I sent is
fragrant too.

I had heard that Hawaii was humid. Here, the humidity is near 100% in
the morning daily. In the summer, the daytime humidity normally drops to
about 50%. A thunderstorm brings the humidity up, but also lowers the
temperature. The rest of the year, it can go much lower. In the year + I
have been here, the lowest humidity has been 3 %.
