We're glad to be back.  I sure hope I got all the borers. I don't want to have
to
contend with them down here, after having them in NE!! Are you getting any
snow yet?  We went to Hobbs,in Sept., for the regional meeting. We sure do
miss that group!!!!  Brad Kasperek did part of the judges training and Carolyn
Hopkins had a program on design. We really enjoyed it all!!!  I guess Doug
Goodnight will be moving to east Texas sometime next year. He's from New
Boston. My son Steve lives in that area also.  In fact, he works as a prison
guard at the same prison that Dougs sister,Betty works. Steve knows her.
Small world!  The Hobbs group will only have eight members after he leaves,
unless they can get some new members.
I think of all the places we have grown iris, New Mexico was the best!!  We
didn't
have to worry about borers,rot, or even leaf spot!  Our main problem was too
alkaline soil and water. Which, of course, can be amended.  Hopefully,tho,
this is
our last move!!
