I certainly am not a computer expert, but know enough to know that this kind of
enterprise certainly needs a computer programmer to accomplish what is needed.
I don't know anything about the one who is doing this now, but it seems if all
the things different people want on the database, to be able to call up
hybridizer, description, background, etc. someone with the expertise necessary
would be worth paying for. If the AIS spent the money to hire a programmer, and
then offered the information on the web for a fee (if that is legal--I'm out of
my field on this one!) to pay back the programmer, etc. Am I way off base on
this? Just wondering.

Another thought--if the information were offered on a CD, it would soon be out
of date and another CD would have to be made available, then another, etc.
whereas if it were online it could be updated periodically. Just wondering
about that too.

Pat, wishing I had it available right now!
