Sorry for the delay, but I did want to report to you, Robert.  One
Cal-Sibe, HALF MAGIC (Farmer, 1985) has survived multiple winters for me
here in my part of upstate NY--and blooms, also, though I wouldn't say it
thrives.  I tried a few others and gradually lost them.  Never tried any
from seed. Never tried any pure PCNs.

Sino-Siberians are easier.  Tamberg's BEAUTIFUL FORTY grows and blooms
well.  I know other folks who are successfully growing DOTTED
LINE--stunning!  I am currently raising a bunch of seedlings obtained from
SIGNA sino-siberian seed.  We will see how they do thru the winter, but I
expect most will do fine if I can keep the blasted deer from eating them.
