     I have yet to hear of this plant existing in the wild here in Florida,
although some gardeners and even some nurseries have this plant.  It looks
like Iris pseudacorus must be in a "special" spot to survive, and cannot
compete against the already existing vegetation.  When I germinated Iris
pseudacorus seeds in Kentucky, they were naturally chilled.  I wonder if
lack of natural chilling in the south inhibits seed germination?
