Perhaps one additional fact could be added to the pseudacorus discussion.
Poor foliage or loss of foliage does not occur with pseudacorus. There is
strong, healthy and wind resistant foliage all season providing "verticals" in
the garden. This alone is a good reason for trying pseuds and perhaps other
species.
