Maj,
When I lived in Kentucky, I grew Iris pseudacorus in the normal garden
soil. It did well there, in full sun or part shade. In Kentucky, spring
and summer are usually quite wet, so lack of water was not an issue.
Here in Florida where the soil is mostly sand, Iris pseudacorus must
be grown in a wet site. Florida's climate is different, with spring being
quite dry. So, here, this plant must be put near a sprinkler, or in a site
that is otherwise easy to keep wet.
