Today's recap of the AIS Bulletin landings follows. This is a superior issue,
BTW... cover shot is of CONJURATION and the back cover pictures both Keith
Keppel and (late) Monty Byers. There's also a great shot of a red iris with a
coating of snow in the inside back cover, from the Denver Convention (I'm
getting chilled just looking at it).
I'd like to call your attention to the 1999 AIS Iris Calendars... these are
now for sale and make great stocking stuffers... and so on. If you order by
the 'each', you'll pay $6 ($5 + $1 postage). If you order by the 10, you'll
pay $33 - ($3 each + $3 postage for each pack of 10).
Looking through the calendar at the photos (different one for each month),
there's a WONDERFUL shot of THORNBIRD for April, a sublime mixed border in
June, the object of my current obsession, PRINCESS CAROLINE de MONACO (pale
blue with a red beard) in July. December shows a dusting of snow on the
irises in Golden, CO. Extraordinary.
I generally buy 10 for myself.... and I give one to each of my family with
everyone's birthday (plus ages for the kiddies) logged in. When you come from
a large family with lots of kiddos, this information is tough to keep track
of, so everyone appreciates the effort. Plus, they're gorgeous calendars and
you won't be disappointed if you order some (check to AIS, send to Nancy
