Dig the whhole plant up with a rootball (bucket of attached dirt) and
put it in a great big pot. Drench the whole shebang with cool water,
let it drain good (or water it from the bottom). Take the whole plant
with you, reset it when you get back (or if it's too cold, keep it
indoors till the next warm spell).
