JI: In Florida?

From: "william b. cook" <billc@atlantic.net>

As of this time, I have two surviving Japanese Irises, both of which
are Historics. BANNERS ON PARADE has one fan, and MIST FALLS was a sizable
clump. I am in the process of putting moisture loving Irises in pots, and
sinking them so that I can make a bed of them. It is easier to keep them
moist, and keep the nutrients in place this way.
So, I potted up BANNERS ON PARADE. When I started to pot MIST FALLS,
it broke into two clumps with four fans apiece, so it could happen to bloom
next year.
With some of these beardless Irises, it appears that moisture is the
key to survival.
