Today was weeding day for the Iris Garden at the Missouri Botanical
Gardens. The Rebloom
bed looked great!
In bloom were
Winterland Bountiful Harvest St.
Petersburg Billionaire
Winesap Lichen
Clarence Saxon
Caroline Gibbs Autumn Tryst Second
Wind Royal Highness
Happy New Year Peach Parasol Lilia's Gloves
There were blooms stalks on Tennison Ridge and Stingray.
The weather forecasters are suggesting good weather for the next 10 to
14 days so many of thebloom stalks on those all ready in bloom should
open. Clarence is absolutly stunning.
At least 20 people stopped to ask why the Iris were behaving so
strangely. Needless to
say Jim Loveland gave each a short course on iris that bloom twice a
year. We got names
and addresses on the ones from out of the area to send catalog
information . The locals
we invited to our iris sale in July, telling them to arrive early as the
rebloomers are the ones
we sell out of first..
