LOVE that answer, Pat!!! I run across lots of folks who assume that I'm so
over the edge that I name my plants... and it's almost impossible to explain
in just a few words what is actually going on. Not long before eyes glaze and
people fidget and you just KNOW they're regretting the question. I'm saving
your answer for the next one. (Last one was just this weekend... mailman)
I use Eon labels (rose markers) and a Brother P-Touch, PC model. For the
winter, I just push them down all the way to the label. I have also adopted
the belt and suspenders method of burying the label that came on the iris (or
making one with a plastic stick) under or next to the plant. This can save
your sorry butt when the inevitable happens.
