If I did not have a greenhouse, sunroom, or enough sunny
windowsills, I would:
Pot them.
Bury the pots in the ground on the south side of the house
close to a brick wall.
'Mulch' the rhizomes with rocks to keep them from heaving.
Hope for a mild winter.
