SPARTAN (dark red) is the hardiest TB I have that I know the name
of, but I have not tried very many TB's because most of them have
turned out to be borer magnets here. I don't think the cold
weather bothers the TB's as much as the borers. My irises usually
have a good snowcover that lasts the winter to protect them.
