Charlie, may I add a little something, please?
I'm assuming here that you are referring to Historic rebloomers. The
symposium itelf will surely explain all this but, for anyone here who does
not know, the official HIPS definition of an Historic iris--and we prefer the
adjective historic to historical--is one that is is thirty or more years old.
We are concerned with hybrid irises of all kinds, including beardless ones,
and also those species which have either formed the foundations of modern
hybridizing or served as ornamental garden plants in their own right.
