Every year, Mike, every year! Now lilacs in April would really be exciting.
I share your enthusiasm re lilacs, and this year bought myself a Syringia 
chinensis. I was looking for a S. persica, but couldn't find one. There are 
quite a lot of different species lilacs, with lovely delicate foliage and 
flowers. I'm hoping to collect just a few.
