Well.......I thought it was ants doing the damage but you guys may be
right. Might be some other bug causing the problem, possibly Mexican
Beetles. I have had alot of problems with grasshoppers the last two
years, but they come later, just in time to mow down my newly planted
irises.
Next year I will check into this more closely and report back. I've
never had a problem with aphids in my irises. Anyway, I don't think
aphids actually EAT plants do they? Bill Shear are you out there?
I will try the cinnamon......Spuria's covered (and I do mean covered)
with ants aren't pretty.
