I would just like to thank all of you who repoded tomy bio statement both on and off list. I was a little surprised to realise how many of you find my favourite irises, the PCI's , difficult or impossible, a pity because you are missing some superb garden plants. They can be grown anywhere here except on chalk soils when they tend to chlorois and dwindle, but I suppose we have an island climate, not a continental one and extremes are rare.
