Again I answered your query and again it hasn't shown up. WHAT AM I
DOING WRONG? I know I'm not a computer genius, but this is
ridiculous! One more time:
BLUE CHIP PINK is Niswonger's, '90, available from Sutton's for $3,
described in their catalog as "Blue pink with bluish beard." I
ordered it this year for my hybridizing project with pinks to breed
out the tangerine beards.
AMETHYST FLAME is Schreiner's 1958(!) I know because I've carried
the pic and description with me for years, but it's no longer
available from them and I haven't found it elsewhere. If you do,
please let me know! Their description goes: "A huge, gorgeously
ruffled Iris. Lavender, lilac, amethyst. Imagine an Iris the color
of lilac overlain with a soft pink sheen. A truly magnificent
variety of rugged constitution and class perfection. HM '58, AM '60,
DM '63."
It looks every bit of that in the picture. Really ahead of its time
for 1958. And the beard looks pure pink, just what I'm trying for.
Hope you find it. If I do first, I'll let you know.
