Betty,
I have found that if the iris blooms in the fall ( after you just planted the
rhizome) it is not usually a good way to determine if the iris will be a good
rebloomer in your area because the bloomstalk was set in the rhizome before
it was shipped to you.
Now if it reblooms the next year, then you will know it was set in your
garden.
