Hello Dennis,
I saw where Ian wrote about his reblooming... I have not had mine for all
that long in the garden, but have not seen reblooming as yet. Interesting. Now I
will pay even more attention.
To get seeds from these small iris and others such as the cristatas, I pot
mine up and hold them in pots where they are up off of the soil and mulch and the
developing seed pots can be watched. Often the pods are on very short stalks at
almost ground level and certainly below the foliage where they are hard to spot.
Ants are pretty good at opening a pod and carrying off seeds just as they are
completing ripening.
Hope I do not get in trouble over this one, but I do have nice Iris lacustris
in 5 pint pots.
