Rebloom here now on 'Buckwheat' (our most reliable rebloomer) and 'Baby
Blessed.' No rain through all of October and none in sight, but still a
surprising amount of soil moisture available.
I spent much of the weekend cutting down and potting up four very large
(7-9') Brugmansia trees that had spent the summer in the ground, and
finished in October with a spectacular display of scores of blooms on each
plant. No frost yet, at least in our garden, and the banana tree still
flourishes. Not much blooming now but chrysanthemums, cyclamen, Helianthus
angustifolia and the hardy Impatiens omeiensis.
