Someone told me that they saw Edith Wohlford blooming happily in the high
desert area out here; I've seen it sickly in my garden and others under
varied conditions, only once with a stalk of more than 24" or 4 buds and
usually not bloomong at all. It is pretty, though. The colors are cleaner
than most "similar" iris, including many unappealing buff/lavender bicolors
susequently introduced to capitalize on Edith's popularity and lack of
performance.
