This summer, I've planted Edith Wolford for the last time. Third time
lucky, perhaps? Last summer, I even planted 4 rhizomes in 3 different
locations. Looked good through fall, all dead in the spring. This newest
clump is larger; we'll see how it does next spring.
Beverley Sills flowered one season, disappeared the next. Same with Mary
Frances. As usual, I'll give them 3 chances, before I give up on them
totally. I've had Stepping Out and Winter Olympics for at least 10 years,
with no problems. Brown Lasso is terrific and still tops as far as I'm
concerned.
I've planted about 30 Dykes Medal winners this summer; we'll see on those as
well. Most of them are 90's DM winners.
