Sorry Francelle, but check out these pictures of two different types of
labels after three years in my garden. The Brother P-Touch label didn't
fair too well.

A Brother's electronic labeling machine, and I suppose a Casio too, will
make a black on white, laminated label which will stick to any clean, smooth
surface and will outlast whatever stakes it is put on. It is the only thing
that will hold up here in the Southern Arizona sun. I have some badly beat
up three year old aluminum stakes, but the labels are still bright and
clear. It is initially expensive, but saves time, frustration and probably
even money in the long run.
