Hi,
Just about the time I planted most of my Signa seedlings in the ground a
pot that had done nothing up to that point showed a plant. Now with the snow
closer then I like the rest of the seeds seem to be coming up. I think the
plants [and the 6" pot] are too small to just stick the pot in the soil.
Would they have any chance if I stuck the pot in a styrofoam cooler filled
with peat moss and kept the whole thing cool [30F-40F]? If that wasn't enough
the pot has lost both labels. I think it's likely a spuria.
I have put a Japanese Iris and it's two gallon pot into the ground. I think
it should be fine. The plant after spending the summer in the pot with alot
of extra water is much happier then when I dug it up. The roots have reached
the bottom of the pot. Contrast that with the state it was in when I dug it
up. I thought it had no roots.
Thanks
Nick
