I'm only attempting to provide an answer to your query because I'm the MN 
gal you specifically requested.  ;-)  Unfortunately, I have no experience 
with the bulbous iris species you have purchased.  I can tell you, 
however, that danfordiae and Dutch irises are both bulbous - not 
rhizomatous - and should be treated life daffodils or tulips.  They are 
really irises, though.

Assuming they are winter-hardy in your area (and I don't know enough 
about them to know whether or not they are), go ahead and plant them now.
