Thanks, Mke, Laurie, and Betty, in re to the report on CAR HOP and DARK
CRYSTAL. You are correct, Mike, it had not been reported from Ohio, but from
a few other states, so it is good to add Ohio and Minn. (I hate those
two-letter abbreviations! I mix up Minn. and Montana, and sloppy writing can
confuse Mass, Missouri, Miss. Mich. and even Maryland!) But, Mike, don't
write off rebloomers for your area, there are colder regions that have them
-- even zones 6 and 7 can be hit by a cold spell. Our regional in VA had to
cancel garden tours this weekend if people wanted to see bloom! A cold snap
had ended rebloom for 6 and 7zones, BUT any buds down in the rz, that had
not grown too far up the stem will still give us rebloom later. We always
get a freeze about this time of year, and then the weather is warm enough to
give us stalks sometimes until close to C'mas. Mother Nature is very
