I was particularly seeking the '89 line in the belief that it would 
incorporate the most modern form.  It's good to know that the 
descriptions of the beards really did mean they are pastel.

Your mention of Snow Flurry and New Snow in the mix leads me back to 
wondering if I can use whites in my combos with pinks with tangerine 
beards, to override the beard color, as it were.  I asked before 
about this strategy, but does anyone else have experience with using 
whites to actually change the colors of pinks? (hopefully the beards 
without washing out the pink coloration).
