Re: CULT: aspects of rot - long

No. I initially tried that, but it didn't work. Not at all like muscle
tissue. In the end I just squirted it on, over and around the rot area. On
those I didn't remove from the pots, it was just put on what rhizome I'd
exposed and allowed to soak into the soil around it. Not large quantities,
just enough to coat the surface.

Yes it does parallel the event. I do know the one sent had both the fan and
roots trimmed and none of the shipment showed any traces of soil clinging to
them, so it's 99% certain they also had been washed. Frankly I'd guess they
were cleaned with a bleach solution, too. But I'm guessing on that and it
would have to be verified. You definitely know how long yours had been dug
and that is unknown for mine. I only know that a week or so before when it
arrived it looked fine. Rot has not occurred on anything else received in
the same shipment. They've all been potted and appear fine at this point.
How far along had the rot progressed?

arrived in my iris-talk mail so I'd assumed it had gotten lost.
