  Al, I get better germination from Signa Seed if I wait until the next 
fall to plant them.

  For years I planted upon receipt and then bemoaned the fact that I 
had poor germination.  Most of our really cold winter is gone by the 
time the seeds arrive, so the stratification period is just not long 
enough if you plant on receipt.  Believing strongly in nature's way, I 
am not one to attempt sprouting in the fridge.
