Does anyone know Shockey's home catalog? I know nothing about the hybridizer, who has not been as prolific as some others, but have heard good things about his stuff.
My only Shockey iris are Crystal Dreams, a slow grower (though not unusually rot prone) and inconsistent bloomer with gorgeous delicately-colored blooms involving white, pink, and lavender; and Crystal Morn, an even paler rendition with less color which I purchased without a description hoping for an improved Crystal Dreams. Blyth lists a Coral Dreams by Shockey, though it sounds different. I would love to find his "home" garden and sift through names and descriptions creating a new wish list.
Oddly enough, my two successful crosses to date involving Crystal Dreams each brought only one extremely strong seedling to maturity. Reincarnation's result was disappointing; Honky Tonk Blues' will be reporting this spring.
