Hi everyone -
These are reblooming for me just north of Detroit: Senorita Frog
(SDB - Spoon); Rhea Peerz (INT. Kasparek); TB's: Autumn Circus
(Hager); Autumn Tryst (Weiler); Raspberry Frost (Sutton); Double Shot
(Sutton); Autumn Thunder (Sutton); Persimmon Pie (Spoon). Next year
promises to be better because two summers ago I did some major
amending to my clay soil and replanted my entire iris garden. The
most impressive so far was Double Shot - ten buds on one stalk. It
was lovely. And to think I almost discarded the entire plant because
of rot problems (it hadn't adjusted to my climate or soil yet), but I
used the Dial/Miracle Grow/water cocktail recommended by Don and
Ginny Spoon and not only did it stop rotting on me, but put up this
magnificent, sturdy bloomstalk that easily supported it's ten
flowers. Also, the longest lasting bud EVER for me finally turned
translucent and droopy on Monday...it was Persimmon Pie, which was
open and perfect for NINE days! Wow! I hope the other four buds do
half as well.
Linda ;)
