I suspect the expression of PRR among specific cvs varies in much the 
same way PBF does on certain cvs under different growing conditions in 
different gardens at different times of the year.  The cvs I received 
last year that exhibited PRR typically had distint solid rings of purple 
pigment encircling the tops of the rzs.  I don't remember seeing any 
fully purple rzs such as those Chuck posted to iris-photos.
