Susan: Here's my two cents! I'm just north of Detroit - Zone 6a,
and I've done nothing to protect my reblooming iris...yet. Someone
on the list Rosalee, I think, said that iris are hardy to about 27
degrees f. When the temp dips to 28 for more than a day or two (hard
freeze) I'll cut my stalks and bring them in. Of course, I'm sure it
wouldn't hurt to carefully cover your buds/flowers with a wool sock
(as suggested) or drape a sheet, etc. over tomato stakes, etc.
surrounding the plant/plants.
