Yes, I think I need a snow bed. I saw where La Neige was from 1912, I
believe it was.
That is certainly an historic iris , is it not? Someone should have it
somewhere....
Do you know the hybridizer? Was it first grown in Indiana?

I think I got my start of LA NEIGE from Mary Tharp in Payette, ID, back when
I
was in my teens. I've never seen it growing here in NC, but that doesn't
mean
anything....the chance of anyone in Idaho still having it tucked in under an
old tree is remote, too......I like the idea of a "Snow" bed. The various
diploids and early tetraploids with "snow" in the name would read like a
progressive history roster of modern iris development.
