Not sure if anybody besides me and Robin is interested, but Blyth
seedling F175-1, the oft mentioned SHADOWS sibling that is pollen parent
to several lovelies in this year's catalog has/had buff apricot
standards, blended rose violet falls with lavender blaze.
Also, F175-1 had the priviledge of being the first in that cross to
bloom - so that may be the main reason it was used. Availability.
I don't know why I didn't think of that - it sure is the main reason I
wind up making all of my crosses, including some really dumb waste of
time & energy things. I use what's fertile.
