Much the same here Colleen, although ours is normally a later season than yours, so Jesse's Song and Lavender park are showing a teeny bit of colour, the SDB's are struggling along, getting wet and producing no pollen. The IB's are starting to show colour. Even my PCI's are way late, and very bedraggled from the rain. I managed some dry pollen for a few pathetic PCI crosses on Monday. Lots of bud rot on TB's that tried to bloom too early, some bud rot on PCI's and IB's. Lots of frost affected deformed blooms - all wrinkled around the edges (a bit like what you get with roundup)
Creswick Forestry Fiesta is on Saturday, with a flower show - I may manage a few if I cut them tomorrow night in bud. The Vic iris show is Sun 2nd Nov. My PCI's may well be at peak then instead of finishing off, like they were last year. Might even have some SDB's left for Melbourne.
I usually contribute a heap of rhizomes for the show sale, and will have to dig before bloom this year.

ON the OTHER hand - I think I am going to have an absolutely fabulous show from all my siberian irises, and some of the lush looking plants I have grown from SIGNA seed (biversata, sibtosa, versicolour,setosa, etc) which is very exciting. Their foliage is beautifully unspotted, the amount of new growth is incredible, and they clearly love the soil and climate here.
