iris seeds from AZ

Hello,

I have an aunt who collected some iris seeds from Alpine, AZ (alt. about
8000 ft) this past month.  She is asking me how to plant them.  Anyone have
any idea what species this may be and what method to use in planting them?
She said they were growing in the shade under pine trees.
