-9 C translates into -15.8 F and four degrees lower, -13 C =
8.6 F. That can feel cold, for sure, especially if you are used
to 27 C days (80 F).
It snowed heavily here today, Oct. 23rd. And yes, it
stayed...none of this "it snowed but it didn't last, etc." :-)
I hear that the Southern part of New Zealand is colder being
closer to the 'other' pole. Anyway, they grow and hybridize many
Siberian irises.
