Dave --  I-92 is TORCHLIGHT PARADE.  Also, in reviewing correspondence, I
see that I didn't answer a question that you asked in your message of August
27, for which I apologize.  You asked, "You mention that 962H1 has nice
branching and velvet falls.  Is it also a variegata?"  The answer to that is
no, it is a dark violet, the falls darker than the stands -- tending toward
black --and velvety.  It is a cross of ROBE OF ROYALTY x 93RR6 (MARGARITA x
MOMAUGUIN).  I mentioned 93RR6 in a recent discussion with Linda about
breeding for certain characteristics.  93RR6 passed its graceful branching
along to 962H1.  962H1's falls are somewhat narrow and scalloped, and the
flower is not an introducer, but I have crossed it with several very dark
violet seedlings involving HOLY NIGHT, BEST BET and SWEETER THAN WINE, all
of which have lovely, broad falls and good ruffling, and some of which have
the velvet texture.  What I am looking for out of that is a reblooming
flower with near-black, broad, velvet falls and branching even better than
TITAN'S GLORY.  I think I'll get the shape and color before I get the
rebloom, so will have to redouble efforts in that direction.  I'm also not
forgetting that BEST BET is a near-amoena and passes it along.  --  Griff
