HYB:CULT: pedigrees/checklist frustration,

Hey gang.

I finally got around to starting my checklist collection.  I received them
today and I'm already frustrated.

First, has anyone ever heard of i. hexagona?  there's a notation in the
front that says cv's from that species X, and cv's with hexagona
characteristics are their own section.  So, since the name sounds like it is
relevent to my particular interest I'm wondering what it is, where I can get
it... yada yada yada.

Second, I thought I had ordered the checklist that would include info for
CELESTIAL SNOW.  Apparently I was wrong.  It has to be in the '59, so would
someone be so kind... pedigree especially.

Third, I'm looking at the description for CLEMATIS ('39 checklist) which has
been reported as one of the known flatties.  I can't find anything that in
any way indicates that it is a flattie, or has unusual growth habits...
why?  What would it say?  Is there an abreviation that just hasn't rattled
into my brain?

Finally, I'm having a little trouble with the color classification table.  I
have something of a feel for everything except the S line.  What's giving me
fits is what colors exactly fall into a blend?  If I have a S6 for example,
is that just a very basic blend or bicolor of two tones of yellow?  What
would the number be for something that was a blend of yellow and red?  What
exactly does blend mean anyway?  Please remember that my computer will not
allow me to access websites that might have this information....
